Moments from Iguazu Falls, admiring the power and Moments from Iguazu Falls, admiring the power and beauty of this wonder of nature on the border of Brazil and Argentina 💚Sunday reel 27 / 2025#finnsaway #nomadlife #digitalnomads #travelforlife #brazil
Visiting Iguazu falls was one of the highlights of Visiting Iguazu falls was one of the highlights of our travels in Brazilia 🤩💚Iguazu falls in the Iguazu River, on the border between Brazil and Argentina, are one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, simply stunning! The falls are a chain of hundreds of waterfalls, with total width of 2,7 km, roaring down 60 to 82 meters in a horseshoe form.On both sides of the border, the falls are located in the middle of rainforest and national park. We visited the falls in Brazilian side, in the Parque Nacional do Iguazu. On this side of the river, there is a scenic 1,5 km trail by the river, with wonderful panorama views of the falls 😍#finnsaway #nomadlife #brazil #iguazufalls
Paraguay is sort of a hidden gem in South America. Paraguay is sort of a hidden gem in South America. For some reason many travelers skip it during their tour around the continent, or only make a short visit to one of the border towns to "collect a country".It's true that there are no world-famous super-attractions in this land-locked country, but Paraguay does have a lot to offer for travelers, from old cities with historic areas and modern neighborhoods to stunning riverside beaches and jungles. The capital city Asunción offers a mix of colonial architecture in the partly ramshackle old center and modern city life in the newer parts. Founded in 1537 along the Paraguay River, Asuncion is oldest cities of South America, and nowadays there are roughly 525,000 people in the city itself and over 2 million in the metropolitan area. The landmark buildings of the historic district of Asunción include Palacio de Los López, the neoclassical presidential palace, Metropolitan Cathedral and Casa de la Independencia, that serves as a museum. One of the main sights is the Playa de La Costanera beach by Bahia de Asunción. It may be not as beautiful as Playa San José in Encarnación, but it's a popular place for recreation and spending family time especially on weekends. It's also possible to take boat trips to the bay, which is known for its birdlife.#finnsaway #nomadlife #visitparaguay
What a week of traveling and midsummer celebration What a week of traveling and midsummer celebration it has been - we are back in Europe!🤩 But since we still have tons of content from Latin America to share, let's not talk about Europe yet, but instead let's jump back to Paraguay with a little throwback to Encarnación! 🇵🇾This city in the southernmost Paraguay, by the Argentinean border, is not well know among international travelers, but offers a nice stop for a couple of days, and works well as a starting point to visiting the Trinidad ruins. For us the most surprising place in Encarnación was the stunning Playa San José, a river beach with soft sands, cosy beach bars and amazing sunsets - we didn't expect to find something like this from a landlocked country! 😍In addition to visiting the beach, we explored the parks and gardens, run along the Paraná River, enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner in a fancy but very affordable restaurant and of course tasted some local beers 🥰🌿🍴🥩🍹🍻Sunday reel 26 / 2025#finnsaway #nomadlife #digitalnomads #travelforlife #visitparaguay
The highlight of our stay in Encarnación in Parag The highlight of our stay in Encarnación in Paraguay was the visit to the nearby ruins of Santísima Trinidad del ParanáIn the 18th century, Trinidad was one of the largest settlements in the Jesuit realm, housing 3000 indigenous residents. The centerpiece of the massive ruins is the majestic main church, with ruins of workshops, a school and apartments around it.The large site is easy to visit and explore, and very quiet - we saw only two other people during our visit. In addition to ruins, you can enjoy the surrounding nature and see a lot of birds, including burrowing owls that are active during daytime and nest in dwellings underground.La Santísima Trinidad, established in 1706 and completed in 1712, was one of the 30 missions established by the Jesuits in the region. Together with the nearby ruins of Jesús de Tavarangue, these ruins are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the only one in Paraguay.Sunday reel 25 / 2025#finnsaway #nomadlife #digitalnomads #travelforlife #paraguay

Montevideo, the modern capital of Uruguay turned o Montevideo, the modern capital of Uruguay turned out to be a great travel destination even now, during the winter and low season. Compared to Buenos Aires and the Brazilian metropolises that we visited earlier, Montevideo is small, clean and organized, but it still has a vibrant feel of a large capital city.We stayed for a three days and explored both the historical quarters and the more modern neighborhoods, and roamed around parks and along the popular Rambla, an avenue that runs along the shore of the estuary of Río de la Plata river.A walk in the old town, Ciudad Vieja, is a must when visiting Montevideo. This historical area is home to several landmark buildings, museums, parks and narrow streets lined with old houses.#finnsaway #nomadlife #visitmontevideo
The historical center of Colonia del Sacramento in The historical center of Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay is charming! During the summer months this small city just one hour ferry ride from Buenos Aires gets busy, but now in the autumn / winter it was very quiet, but still very beautiful. The old town is a World Heritage site and attracts visitors s from around the world. For many it is just a day trip destination from Buenos Aires, but it's worth of staying a bit longer, as the ancient cobbled streets lined with old buildings look wonderful also after dark. Also, the sunsets are fabulous!"Founded in 1680 by the Portuguese Manuel de Lobo, the city passed from Portuguese to Spanish rule several times, until the Declaration of Independence of the Banda Oriental in 1825. These events made the Historic Center of the capital of Colonia a melting pot of architectural and urban styles, where typically Portuguese colonial styles and Spanish-style homes coexist."Sunday reel 24 / 2025#finnsaway #nomadlife #digitalnomads #travelforlife #nomadiclife #visituruguay
